The worlds of islam brings together a selection of 190 masterpieces from the collection of the future Aga Khan Museum, soon to be built in Toronto, Canada. Th e Aga Khan collection of Islamic art is one of the most important in the world. It contains valuable and signifi cant pieces from all the historical dynasties of the Muslim world,including the famous collection of miniatures and manuscripts amassed by Prince Sadruddin (uncle of the present Aga Khan) and his spouse, Princess Catherine. The collection comprises nearly a thousand works that span over a thousand years of history and showcase the greatest artistic accomplishments of the worlds of Islam.
